Breathing exercises for stress
-
Do this breathing as part of your daily routine.
-
You will get the most benefit if you do it regularly.
-
Make yourself as comfortable.
-
Put on loose clothes so that your breathing is not restrict.
-
Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
-
Breath in as deep down into your belly as is comfortable, without forcing it.
-
Breathe in gently and regularly. Some people find it helpful to count steadily from 1 to 5. You may not be able to reach 5 at first.
-
Then, without pausing or holding your breath, let it flow out gently, counting from 1 to 5 again, if you find this helpful.
-
Keep doing this for 5 minutes.
-
If you feel uncomfortable stop.

Take up a new hobby - Painting - Pottery - Gardening (Go to my Activities page).
-
Try a new way of healthy eating.
-

-
Have more YOU time.
-
Turn off your TV and listen to some music.
-

Meditation
Relax to Calming Beautiful Music
When we relax, the flow of blood increases around our body giving us more energy. It helps us to have a calmer and clearer mind which aids positive thinking, concentration, memory, and decision making. Relaxation slows our heart rate, reduces our blood pressure, and relieves tension.
How Relaxation Helps. When you feel stress, your body responds by releasing hormones that increase your blood pressure and raise your heart rate. This is called the stress response. Relaxation techniques can help your body relax and lower your blood pressure and heart rate.
